Platform · Marketing compliance review
Every ad checked against the advertising rules, and every finding cited with its fix.
Marketing compliance review reads each ad, email or landing page against 25 checks drawn from Regulation Z, Regulation DD, the FTC's advertising rules and the FDIC's official advertising statement rules. Each finding names the rule it comes from and what to change. Every review is kept in a log for the partner program it belongs to.
The problem it removes
Marketing moves faster than the review queue
- Your partners publish new copy every week, and the sponsor bank is answerable for all of it.
- Reviewers mark up drafts with "needs disclosure" and no rule, so the same fight happens again on the next draft.
- When an examiner asks how partner marketing is reviewed, the answer is an email thread.
What you see
Findings with the rule and the fix
Each review lists what each check found, the rule behind it and the change that would clear it. Checks that point to possible unfair or deceptive practices are labelled as risk flags for a reviewer to weigh, not as conclusions.
| Finding | Rule | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Fail APY stated without the minimum balance to obtain it | 12 CFR 1030.8(c)(2) | State the minimum balance next to the rate |
| Fail Variable rate not disclosed as able to change | 12 CFR 1030.8(c)(1) | Add that the rate may change after the account is opened |
| Risk flag "every dollar" while a balance cap applies | UDAAP heuristic | Reviewer to weigh; state the cap if kept |
| Pass FDIC official advertising statement present | 12 CFR 328.3 | n/a |
Illustrative example with an invented ad. The rules cited are real; the findings are made up to show the format.
How it works
Take in, check, cite, decide
- Take in. The ad copy comes in with its product type and channel, filed under its partner program.
- Check. Written rules run all 25 checks. The same copy gives the same findings every time.
- Cite. Each finding carries the rule it rests on and the fix. A review whose citations can't be confirmed against the rule text is held back.
- Decide. Your reviewer, or a practitioner under your engagement, decides what ships, and the decision goes in the program's review log.
Guardrails
What it will never do
- It doesn't give legal conclusions. It flags risk under unfair or deceptive practices rules for a person to decide.
